In 300-500 words, you will take the text you’ve created and apply it to a concept we have covered in class so far this semester. The application part of the project will have two parts: 1. explain and 2. apply. In part 1 (explain) you will explain the concept you have chosen in detail. In part 2 (apply) you will apply the concept to the text (your narrative). This is where you draw connections between your concept and your narrative. In other words, show how your narrative is an example of the concept. The key to this section is students will make the claim that the concept fits (tell) but does not go the extra step to prove/support the claim (show). Use the text you’ve developed to show how the concept fits your experience.
