Students are required to submit academic analytical position essays based on a chosen topic related to social justice and/or families. These papers are to be no more than five to seven pages (not including title pg. and references) and should include at least five to ten scholarly outside references (not including course assigned readings). APA format is required. A copy of the paper will be uploaded to Canvas.

Near the half-point students will need to submit an outline that will showcase the points they plan to cover in their critical essay. This outline can be 2-4 pages, but it should be comprehensive (i.e., it should note w/e research, arguments, points etc., the student plans to uncover etc.). A thesis statement (your argument) should be clearly articulated and supported. You should also include a tentative reference list with this assignment.
