Special Education/ Learning Strategy

DIRECTIONS:

Describe a learning strategy for ONE of the following content areas; written language OR reading OR mathematics OR science OR social studies/world cultures. The learning strategy needs to be one that benefits students who exhibit learning difficulties.

Paper must answer these questions:

What type of knowledge does your strategy address?
What is the strategy? Summarize it.
What prerequisite skills are required?
For whom will it be beneficial? Describe the age and characteristics of the students.
What skills are being reinforced?
How will the student benefit from the strategy?
Can it be applied to other settings?
How will the strategy be taught to other students?
The learning strategy must have the following components:

          Title
          Generalizable outcome
          List of strategy steps
          Suggested content area
