Spiritual awareness and the profession

  

Spiritual and religious values, beliefs, and experiences often shape the contexts of social work practice at both a professional level and a personal level. This self-reflective assignment asks you to consider your own personal religious/spiritual/values background and discuss elements, experiences, and influences that have helped you define your spiritual/sacred self. What defines your spirituality and religious experience?

2. How are your spirituality and religious experience relevant to and influenced your developing role as a social work professional?

You will also conduct a study of another spiritual/religious belief that is different from your own. For example, if ones faith in Christianity, you may complete a survey of Judaisms values, characteristics, and beliefs. It will be an examination of whom you are and where you are spiritual. You will also develop an awareness of other religions.
