LAPD Arrest Data 2022
This dataset reflects arrest incidents in the City of Los Angeles in 2022. This data is transcribed from original arrest reports that are written on paper and then manually entered into the internal crime reporting system.
Each case represents an individual person. Variables include incident level data (time of day, LAPD region), demographics (age, sex, race), arrest type, and actions taken. Actions taken at the time of the arrest has two options: booked or cited for a court appearance. Pathways for an arrest can have different outcomes (e.g., investigation, case rejected, etc.).
