Visit the Virtual Library to write an analytic essay examining the factors related to the process of forming a new life, focusing in nature and nurture. Students will discuss the influences of the hereditary aspects and the environment of the baby, such as how their inheritance and the environment interact, and the characteristics influenced by inheritance and environment and its relation, if any, with the genetic code of the baby, what determines the sex of the baby, the patterns of genetic transmission, genetic and chromosomal abnormalities, and genetic counseling and testing.
The essay should be at least two pages long. The students will incorporate at least five terms from the core course terminology of the workshop into their essay.
