Term Paper Guidelines:

The term paper is the most comprehensive of all assignments for this course.

The term paper should be between 1500-1800 words long, not including citations, restating the question, or including name and class identifiers. A double-spaced format is required.

The paper should conform to MLA format. The paper should include an introductory paragraph that concludes with a clear thesis statement that includes a roadmap for the rest of the paper. After a body that sees out the thesis, the term paper should conclude with a paragraph concluding their arguments. Students should clearly address the prompt. They do not need to restate the prompt in their paper. While students are encouraged to exercise their freedom of opinion, they should strive to be respectful of classmates with opposing viewpoints.
