Essay 3- Informative Research Essay
· 4-5 pages, not including Works Cited Page
· You will choose your own topic, but keep in mind you must be able to find research about it in an academic database (stay away from celebrities and very current events)
· This is an informative research paper, not a persuasive essay. You are simply presenting information about your topic, not trying to persuade your reader about it.
· MLA style formatting (Times New Roman, 12 pt, double space, etc.)
Research Requirements
· Research required- at least 4 credible sources.
· 2 of your sources MUST be from Gateway’s library databases.
· The remaining 2 can also be from the databases, or you can use sources outside of the database, such as websites, books, documentaries, or interviews.
· You may have more than 4 sources if you wish.
· Must have research/citations in every body paragraph.
· Needs a correctly formatted Works Cited page.
