This is a “talk” given by a famous sociologist who has been writing historical analyses about Christianity and Western Civilization.

Your mission for this assignment:

Listen to the whole talk – it will be worth it. Don’t feel like you have to do it all at once, why not do half and half?

Write a paragraph in which you point out what YOU believe are the most important points you heard in this presentation – I’m hoping you hear information about Christianity that are new to you. Even some facts that are surprising. You will always need to explain WHY you made these choices.

In your second paragraph, please make a connection to our culture. No matter what your religious beliefs are, what evidence do you see that Christianity has been a part of the IDEAS, ACTIONS and THINGS of this society. Our history and even now. Find specific examples to connect to what you have learned about culture.
