3-Part Specification Assignment
The objective of this assignment is for students to develop a 3-Part Specification on a unique product while correctly applying the CSI Section FormatTM. Each submission must include these three parts:
Part 1- General
Part 2- Products
Part 3- Execution
You must use MasterFormatTM Division 09 – Finishes and specify a product from that division for a space in your residence. See the MasterFormatTM – 2018 Numbers & Titles file for a complete listing of items included in Division 9. You are required to include a minimum of 3 different reference sources.
All submissions must be typed using a standard font (Times New Roman, Courier, Arial), include page numbers, and references must be cited using MLA or APA writing style.
Items you will submit:
1. Title page- Your Name, ID#, 3-Part Specification Assignment, AEC 480 Spring 2022
2. Next page- Provide a paragraph or two describing the space and current finish that you will replace. Include why you believe the new product will enhance the space (e.g. modernize the look, easier maintenance, life cycle costs…)
3. 3- Part specification of the new product
4. All references used to develop your specification
