TOPIC: For my topic, if the area is too broad, I would like to examine the years of the War on Terror of 2011 and 2023 as the Years of interest in regards to the effects closure of conflict and PTSD/shell shockRough drafts need only be 15 pages long, but must include 1) a minimum three-page section providing a historiographical literature review analyzing the major scholarly contributions relevant to your topic and explaining how your research advances the field, 2) a minimum 1 page section providing a detailed explanation of the methods and theoretical frameworks you will draw on in your analysis of your topic 3) a rough bibliography including both primary and secondary sources (10 sources minimum for the rough draft. You must include a minimum of 3 primary sources and a minimum of 4 secondary sources.). Your bibliography need not be annotated. Your rough draft must also propose an original thesis that advances the study of your topic.
Your research paper must be 100% original and should not be a continuation of any paper or topic you have written on in the program thus far. You must choose a new topic and write a completely new paper. Any attempt to recycle work from another course constitutes plagiarism and will be handled in accordance with the GCU guidelines on academic policies.
