Prevention of communicable diseases
Use the Sherpath resources to support your assignment.
Part 1 – Create a flyer or pamphlet to inform a chosen individual, group, or population about a chosen communicable disease such as HIV.
Identify your chosen disease.
Explain the pathophysiology, the signs and symptoms, how the disease is transmitted, and measures one can implement for prevention.
Offer interventions and suggestions from evidence-based research.
Provide a minimum of two community resources and/or national resources.
Part 2 Share your flyer or pamphlet with a chosen individual or group. Provide a written summary of the experience. Describe the response of your target audience and your impression of the experience. What went well? What couldve been improved?
Submit both your flyer/pamphlet and the written summary of the experience.
Part 2 of the Module 2 assignment instructs you to share your flyer or pamphlet with a group or individual (in person or virtual is okay) and then provide a written summary of the experience. This should include the response of your audience, and your impression of the experience. Discuss your audiences response…do you feel it went well, did they offer any recommendations, did they ask questions? Be sure to include this written summary when submitting your flyer or pamphlet. Please read the directions thoroughly and include all the required elements in both the chosen media and written summary.
As for the required references, 3 scholarly references are required to support the material in the flyer/pamphlet. These should be cited and referenced on the actual document. The directions also state to “provide a minimum of two community resources and/or national resources.” These should be included within your flyer/pamphlet, for example if your topic is HIV, include 2 local and/or national resources where someone can find additional information or assistance.
Assignment Expectations-
Length: Full page flyer/pamphlet and 500- 750 short teaching summary
Structure: Include a title page and reference page in APA style. These do not count towards the minimal word amount for this assignment.
References: Use the appropriate APA style in-text citations and references for all resources utilized to answer the questions. Include at least three (3) scholarly citations to support your claims.
