The organization I chose was United Way of South Hampton Roads.

2. Through research on the agencys website, describe the mission and purpose of the agency and the populations served.
3. Describe the requirements for volunteering at this agency. If the requirements are not posted on the website, contact the agency volunteer coordinator to obtain this information.
4. As a volunteer at the agency/organization, what would you hope to learn about social service provision?
5. Review the social work values (service, social justice, dignity & worth of all persons, importance of human relationships, integrity, competence) on p. 6 – 8 of the Suppes & Wells textbook. How are these values displayed on the website of the agency/organization? How are these values incorporated into the volunteer opportunities at the agency/organization?’
