After reading the brief on the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on women’s work and their families, reflect on the context of these job losses and the ways in which historical and systemic inequalities, discussed in Conley’s chapter on families, have likely lead to these enormous losses for women and their families. Pick one of the solutions the article suggests and discuss why you think it may or may not be successful at improving women’s losses in the paid and unpaid labor force. Be sure to cite Conley to support your argument, and to demonstrate critical thinking, using social science research.
