What do you plan to write your Individual Paper on? In at least 100 words, tell me what topic you are addressing and what two or three literary works you will use to support this topic. What will you say about the topic; in other words, what is your projected thesis?
Note: You do not have to include the secondary (non-literary) sources here, but you should be conducting research on that by this point.
Instructions:
1. Read the works associated with that topic.
2. Organize your thoughts concerning how two or three of those works say something similar about the topic. That is, come up with a thesis.
3. Write your proposal, explaining what these works say about the topic, your “take” on this theme. It could take the form of a sentence like this: I intend to show how literature depicts the stress of family members who are burdened with having to care for elderly parents and relatives.
