When they hear about the Milgram experiments, many people assume that they would have resisted the pressure to obey the experimenter.  What do you think you would have done?  Write a paragraph or two in which you reflect honestly about your own likelihood of obeying vs. disobeying.  Consider everything that you know about your own personality and morals, as well as everything that you know about the power of social situations. Consider also the research presented in the textbook and lectures to inform your position. Explain whether you think you would have obeyed, and why or why not.  Did you learn anything new about yourself from putting yourself in the shoes of a participant in Milgram’s experiment?  If so, what did you learn?  If not, why not?  What does this thought exercise teach you about the power of social situations?  In your writing, please shoot for a word count of roughly 250-350 substantive words.
