Write a short story (800 words minimum – 1500 words maximum) in which a character, based on real life, is described. Your story should have a proper setting, flow, and conclusion. DO NOT use more than a few adjectives throghout the story. Read “The Grandmother, the City, and the Traffic Lights” by Mia Couto as well as “Cathedral” by Raymond Carver again and again. Remember the rule: show, don’t tell!
