Explanation of what the experiment is designed to show and providing some background.

Include background of microbes and microbiology, staining methods(preparation of smears and simple staining, negative staining, gram stain, acid fast stain, structural stains: endospore, capsule, flagella), also include microbial metabolism test(carbohydrate catabolism, fermentation, protein catabolism, and respiration)
