You will pick a modern scientist and write about their life, upbringing, education, accomplishments, failures, scientific impact of their research, and any additional information you find. This is an opportunity to tell the story of your scientist.  Paper must be between 900-1100 words not including cited sources.

I attached the word document of below with cited sources.

Jane Goodall

Jane Goodall is a primatologist which is a scientist that studies primates. Her discovery of Chimpanzees utilizing tools in the wild is considered one of her greatest discoveries. The discovery of tool utilization and other social activities is where other scientists began to study the relationship between primates and humans. While traveling to different parts of the world to study primates Jane Goodall has created conservation groups and scholarship programs to pass on the knowledge and continue to grow our knowledge about primates.

Born Hampstead, London, Jane Goodall has had a fascination with monkeys from a young age. Jane had a difficult time trying to get approval from British authorities due to women rights being limited in her early life. Her first trip she was not allowed to travel alone, so she had her mom accompany her on the trip to Tanzania. She grew to accept many awards to include a Medal of Tanzania, National Geographic Society’s Hubbard Medal, and was titled the Dame of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II. The title given by the queen is equivalent to a knighthood for women. This is all an incredible achievement as she was diagnosed with prosopagnosia, which is the inability to recognize faces. Jane did marry a baron in the Netherlands, she later divorced him. She did remarry to an Air Force veteran; they were married until he passed. Jane also received her doctorates in 1965 from Cambridge.
