Question1

What specific benefits should college graduates ask more questions about when deciding between jobs at different organizations?

Classmate response

A lot of benefits College graduates should inquire more while choosing between positions at different companies, such as the organization’s policies, the work description, and whether or not the organization pay well. There are numerous elements, all of which depend on how the individual sees his or her career.

Question 2

Without supervision, do you believe that most workers would circumvent OSHA rules if it means that they can get the job done faster? If so, how can it be impressed upon employees to do the job the OSHA way even when they are unsupervised?

Classmate response

As part of management, I would make it clear that any employee willfully violating OSHA regulations will be terminated due to the cost of fines. Willful violations can cost a company up to $126,749 per fine. Training would be conducted to educate all employees in preparation for efficient and safe working habits. The OSHA Job Safety and Health Protection poster will be visibly shown for all employees in places with high traffic where work is frequently performed so there should not be any excuses for risking one’s safety. It is important to remind workers that saving a few seconds or minutes on a task is not worth losing good health, limb functionality, or life. No company can afford to lose productivity resulting from employees taking time off work with illnesses or injuries that could be prevented in the workplace.
