WEEKS READING- we will turn our attention to the dissemination of evidence to support practice. To foster improved healthcare outcomes, researchers have a responsibility to share research findings with other healthcare professionals. While many consider the publication of research in a peer-reviewed journal as the primary way to disseminate information, there are other ways to share evidence. Additional methods include poster and podium presentations at professional conferences or presentation of the results of quality improvement projects within an organization.Dissemination of evidence obtained through research, quality improvement projects, and experience is a professional obligation. The mode of sharing varies with the type of evidence and preference of the presenter; A quality improvement project considers a gap between current practice and desired practice. Most individuals consider the publication of an article within a journal as being the principle way to be published but there are additional ways including books, reports, or conference publications. The poster consists of a visual presentation of the results of a research study. Podium presentations are often what many people to consider to be the traditional way of presenting one’s research study and results.
