required to present a plan of action to some form of a governing body such as a board of
education, city council, or the management of a community center. For this task, which is
designed to help you prepare to become an even more effective leader as well as a
presenter to various governance groups, develop a PowerPoint presentation to include the
following components:
1) Determine why you want to lead a particular educational setting of personal interest.
2) Explain how you will utilize decision-making and relationship building to effectively lead.
3) Indicate how you will address policies affecting students, staff, and parents.
4) Identify the type of student assessment process you will implement and utilize for
data-based decision-making to guide student learning and staff professional development.
Be sure you insert various applied examples to further provide clarity within each
component of your personal leadership plan.
Incorporate appropriate animations, transitions, and graphics as well as speaker notes for
each slide. The speaker notes may be comprised of brief paragraphs or bulleted lists.
Support your presentation with at least seven scholarly resources. In addition to these
specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources may be included.
Length: 15-20 slides, not including a title slide or reference slides
