Due in an hour. Anatomy analyst

Jennie was in a motorcycle accident and sustained several injuries. Among them are:

A. Torn ligaments in her left cervical and left axillary regions

B. Skin lacerations (road rash), all the way to the reticular layer of the dermis in the right lateral antebrachial region and the dorsum of her right hand, proximal to her right pollex

C. A collapsed left lung, due to an external puncture into her left pleural cavity (through the parietal pleura, but not the visceral pleura)

D. A fractured distal epiphysis of her right radius

YOUR TASK:

  1. First, mark on a figure or clearly describe the specific location (superficial, deep, lateral, medial, anterior, posterior, etc.) of each of her wounds, as if you were describing them to an educated family member. Your objective here is to clearly communicate anatomical terminology about specific locations on the human body, either visually or in writing.
  2. Next, identify all of the specific tissues that were damaged, in order, in each instance.
  3. Last, describe the specific steps in the process to heal her injured bone.

Grading Rubric

Locations: /6;   Specific tissues: /8;    Bone   healing: /6

Want grading to be fast? Organize your answer similar to the question and place relevant terms in BOLD.

Locations:

A. Left axillary- nerve fiber is torn in her left armpit
Left cervical – ligaments are torn in the left neck

Skin lacerations:

Right lateral antebrachial region – her right lateral humorous/upper arm

Crashing down on an outstretched hand

Specific tissues:

Epidermis
