The paper must include:
AT LEAST 5 sources and information altogether
AT LEAST 3 sources are from:
The Technology in the Classroom packet, and the “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” and “I Didn’t Want It to Be True, But the Medium Really Is the Message” articles
AT LEAST 2 sources are from your own outside resources
Preferably at least one of these resources is backing up an idea only alluded to in the packet and articles
The paper must be:
3-4 pages in length
Written in MLA formatting: Look at the Perdue Owl link I posted on proper MLA headings etc.
ALL resources MUST be cited (if the pro/con sheet says “SOURCE A” then look in the packet to see who wrote article A and where it is from and cite THAT)
For this paper I am looking to see that you have defended a position, acknowledged the other position, written it in correct MLA format, IN SOME WAY cited your sources, and chosen reliable sources.
You also need to have at least TWO counterarguments that you knock out!
RULES:
You can NEVER have a quote in the first sentence of a paragraph (the topic sentence is YOUR idea)
The topic sentence needs to connect to the thesis (which is stating whether you are FOR or AGAINST technology in the classroom)
You can NEVER have a quote be the WHOLE sentence (it needs to be contained within an idea that is YOURS)
You MUST use transition words to get from YOUR ideas to the ideas of OTHERS
A quote can ever be longer that 2.5 lines long
When you state the source of a quote you must say why their opinion is valuable
