You need to reflect about a change process which happened within an organizational context. Examples of organizational change include (but are not limited to): merges & acquisitions, scaling back operations, launching a new product, launching a new department, change in management team, change in organizational structure, digital transformation.

 

 

Context and introduction:

Reflect about a change process which took place in an organizational context. You can either use an example from your own experience or from a third party. Based on that change, provide a report containing the following key points:

Section 1: § Briefly explain the change process and its main components: situation, stakeholders involved, relevancy of the change for the organization § Define and justify the type of change: first order-second order; proactive-reactive (workbook pg. 69-73)

Section 2: § Apply the eight steps model of Kotter for planning, implementing and sustaining change to the change process of your choice. (workbook pg. 73-75)

Section 3: § As an HR professional, explain how you could support the organization to navigate the change process successfully. Provide two examples of specific actions that HR should play in managing and delivering the change process (workbook pg. 80-83)

Thi work will be based on an organization of your choice – To pass this assignment you must cover all sections and all points within the sections – The average length of the report is +/- 2 pages (maximum length 1 A4 page per assignment section) – Answers must include a justification of viewpoint – Report must be written using clear business English as well as relevant P&O terminology and jargon – Report must be structured in a professional manner, containing a cover page, table of contents and page numbering
