This course really opened my eyes to a lot of things this term. I didn’t realize that it was so much more to unions than what I learned from my orientation when I first started working at my job. Having a clear understanding of what exactly they do and the limits of what we can and can’t do. I find it super important to know what we are willing to deal with prior to applying or accepting a job. Private sector or public sector. The case studies in the book gave many different examples or why things work the way that they do. I also think it is important to know what all is included with the Labor Laws. Knowing the history and pin pointing where it started gives an understanding of why things are the way they are. Having this information, not only helps myself but I will be able to educate and help my employees and co-workers. This hopefully will keep being passed on. I always like the leave people with more knowledge than what I met them with in some way. Our rights as Americans seem less and less as these times are changing, but with more education of laws protecting us as workers, things will continue to get better
