Article Summary Option #1

Students should choose one topic covered up to that point in the course and prepare a one-page (double-spaced) summary of an empirical study on the topic. For example, students could write a summary on an article examining juvenile race and relations with the police. Summaries should include a brief description of the topic area, the purpose of the current study, an overview of the findings, and a discussion of the importance of the study (e.g., what could the findings mean for youth in the system?). Students do not need to include statistical information.

For full points, submissions should use APA format. Students should provide the APA reference to the article for full points.   You do not need a title page.
