Analyze the Current Scholarly Literature on Public Administration

As a member of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), you are asked to write a critical analysis for this organization’s upcoming annual conference.
The topic of the analysis is an evaluation of the ethical issues and concerns in today’s public administration environment. Research and explore ethical issues and concerns faced by public administrators, and then discuss how the field can address those issues and concerns. Be sure your analysis addresses the following:
- Identify and analyze three ethical issues and concerns faced by public administrators.
• Determine if the ASPA Code of Ethics is still valid and relevant for public entities. Provide examples to support your evaluation.
• Formulate suggestions for addressing these issues and concerns for increased efficiency and transparency in public administration practice.
This week, you read about one of the many concepts in public administration, ethics. You are not limited to discussing ethics in this week’s submission. You have the option to analyze a different concept. If you choose to analyze a different concept, your goal is to present three theories, critique them, discuss aspects that are no longer valid, and suggest improvements or modifications which would make these theories relevant in today’s world.
Note: Seminal theories refer to research and writing on public administration which broke new ground and influenced practices in government.
Length: 5 to 7 pages, not including title and reference pages
References: Include a minimum of 3 scholarly references.
The completed assignment should address all the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards, Policy.
