The Importance of Teams or Stewardship
For this assignment, you will be asked to either produce a voice-over PowerPoint which will allow you to provide a three to five minute speech that utilizes the outline as articulated below regarding the topic associated with this learning module.
For this assignment, you are preparing a video or voice-over PowerPoint to be delivered at an upcoming retreat for Highpoint Industries. Unfortunately, due to a vacation conflict, you were unable to attend this training retreat. Darleen, however, is interested in keeping the momentum going so she is offering you an opportunity to send a video lesson which she will play for her C team on their retreat as they continue to try to resurrect their business. For this assignment, you are to do the following:
- Component 1: Produce a 3–5-minute speech on the importance of team work in relationship to developing deeper levels of shared purpose, values, and the pursuit of an organization vision.
- Component 2: Secondly, you are also to address the issue of stewardship and how high levels of knowledge and understanding regarding this particular content area will lead to better outcomes.
- Component 3: In addition to providing the video, you are to write Darleen a brief two to three paragraph summary of your thoughts and an explanation and suggestions as to how she might utilize that video as a teachable opportunity in the retreat. You are welcome to suggest any number of other support that you can think of that will improve the learning experience.
Please ensure in executing this assignment that you make specific references to the readings provided as well as the utilization of at least three (3) outside references which can be used to support your ideas presented. The use of outside sources is important because even though the materials provided for this course are excellent, as a graduate student you are expected to be able to consult a variety of sources regarding a given topic and synthesize that scholarly input into a thoughtful set of recommendations, conclusions, etc.
