CHANGE MANAGEMENT PLAN PRESENTATION
For this Assignment, you identify key issues in a scenario and develop a change management plan to address that scenario.
Review the following scenario:
You are the leader of a project to transition to a new laboratory management software system and to complete integration with the current electronic health record. Meetings and planning involved administration, nursing, and information technology. The administration pressured the team to finish the project quickly. Consequently, there was minimized collaboration between departments to meet deadlines, conduct testing, and deliver training.
After the system was implemented, the lab manager contacted the chief nursing informatics officer to say the orders are not matching between the systems. The staff is avoiding using the new system, reverting to paper. Some of the hardware is not compatible with the new system.
Develop a research-based change management plan to effectively address the scenario.
Create a 10- to 12-slide PowerPoint presentation that you would present to a group of executives in your organization. In your presentation:
- Identify the issues in the scenario.
- Identify the stakeholders of the change management plan.
- Assess the current state and future state in the scenario.
- Define success through identified KPIs.
- Propose a change management method to address each issue in the scenario.
- Describe the anticipated outcome for each method you propose to use and explain why you predict each outcome.
- Describe a communication plan to articulate the change and the change management plan.
Be specific and include at least 4 references to scholarly resources.
