CITI Training


The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) training in research ethics is a requirement for submission of your research application to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). CITI training provides you with information regarding ethical and responsible conduct of research. During this online training, you will be required to read and process information and take quizzes to demonstrate your understanding of research ethics and IRB requirements. You will complete both the Basic Human Subjects – Social Behavioral Research for Students course and the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR for Social and Behavioral Science Doctoral Learners) course. You should work on this assignment throughout the duration of this course so it is completed in a timely manner.

Directions:

Complete both the Basic Human Subjects – Social Behavioral Research for Students course and the Responsible Conduct of Research Course from CITI by doing the following:

  1. Log on to the CITI training website and register for the CITI Training using the directions provided on the GCU Technical Support Help Center: https://support.gcu.edu/hc/en-us/articles/360009643594-CITI-Training.
  2. Complete all modules of the Basic Human Subjects – Social Behavioral Research for Students course and the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR for Social and Behavioral Science Doctoral Learners) course. Once you complete all the modules, a completion report will be generated by the CITI website that lists all the modules you have completed as a part of the course requirement.
  3. Save the completion report generated by the CITI website to your computer.
  4. Submit the saved completion report to the instructor (.pdf file) as proof of your completion of this assignment. Note: Do not submit the certificate of completion. Submission of the completion report alone satisfies the requirement for this assignment.
