Community Impact Project: Prevention, Treatment, and Action Assignment Instructions
Overview
The community impact project is meant to help the student explore his/her community and determine what behavioral addiction is most prevalent in the area. The area can include the student’s immediate locale, region, or state. The community impact project will be completed in four parts.
Instructions
The third part of this project will address issues surrounding prevention and treatment of the chosen behavioral addiction. Within this section it is important to discuss the ethics of diagnosing this disorder given its current status in the DSM-5 and the ICD-10. The student will develop a community action plan aimed at addressing the behavioral addiction identified in part one and two that will answer the following:

What change are you aiming to make?
Who is responsible for the changes/actions?
When will the changes be implemented and how long will they take?
What organizations or support will you need to implement the plan?
How will the plan be communicated?

Utilize APA formatting.
Include at least 5 scholarly resources.
Acceptable sources include scholarly articles and textbooks. Please note that the textbook for this class can be used to support your statements, but will not be counted toward the resource requirements.
