Security Policy Assignment:

Directions:  You are to develop a comprehensive security policy for your home computer use.  Use the following template to complete this policy.

MOVIE:  Write a synopsis of the movie.  My definition of a synopsis is a summary with an attitude.  The attitude is what you thought of the movie … your impressions.  Don’t forget to give your thoughts not just what happened.

 10 Students will write a security policy for their home.  They will choose their goals and determine what assets will be protected. They will also determine who will fall under the policy.
Risks and Uncertainties

·         Risks (include probabilities)

·         Uncertainties (include probabilities)

·         Consequences of Loss

 15 Students will predict risks and uncertainties that might damage their assets. They will then analyze the cost of that loss.
Safeguards    
Physical security 20 Students will choose their physical security measures.
Electronic security

·         Password protection (include computers, modems, and w-fi if you have one. Also times for changing of passwords)

·         Encryption

·         Firewalls (if you don’t intend to install, simply state so)

·         Online security

 30 Students will choose their electronic security measures.
