Overview:
In this assignment you have the opportunity to show your knowledge of writing, spelling
and art working together for better child development.
Instructions:
Construct three literacy centers that integrate arts into literacy learning. Each center will
support a separate activity that will blend art forms with writing, vocabulary, and
spelling. Keep in mind that you can and should utilize all art forms discussed in the text.
Requirements:
Submit at least 3 pages, one for each center. The description of each center should
include the materials needed, the objective of the activity, the Early Learning Standards
that will be assessed, the desired product or experience for the child, how it will be
facilitated by the teacher to encourage higher order thinking, and the method of
assessment to be used to document how the child is meeting the standard. This will be
in APA format with in- text citations and a reference page and written in narrative form.
Pictures can be included.
Be sure to read the criteria by which your work will be evaluated before you write
and again after you write.
