CLASSMATE’S POST
I think the biggest challenges a teacher would face is giving up what seems to be control of their classroom. Teachers have been conditioned to believe that if their classroom is noisy and a mess then there is no learning going on. This cannot be farther from the truth, but it will be a stereotype that will have to be broken if we want to move towards student centered learning. Another thing that can hinder the transition in lack of knowledge about how incorporate and use student centered learning especially if their teacher has not been educated on the in and out of student centered learning. I know I struggled when we started experimental design and just to incorporate it and also how to give up some of the control in the classroom.
