  • Provide one more way in which the app can be used to help provide developmentally appropriate learning activities for children from 2 months to 2 years.

PEERS POST:

Hi Class,

Rate how you like using the app on a scale of 1 to 5 (one being you would not recommend and a five being a superior rating). Provide at least two reasons to support your rating.

So, I have this app for my youngest, Maverick. I would give the app a 5 out of 5. It is easy to use and gives information on where your child should be and meeting their milestones. I also like that since my baby was born 6 weeks early, it details his corrected age and where he should be for his age. Along with keeping track of doctor’s appointments, tips, and activities you can do with baby. Also, if you have any questions or concerns about the child you can add it to the notes, this way you will not forget to bring it up to the doctor.

Explain at least two elements of the app that you think are helpful for tracking physical development from 2 months to 2 years.

When to Act Early is helpful because it helps you know your child is missing something in their milestones and when to contact the doctor and speak to them about the child’s development.

The tips and activities are also helpful tools because they give tips on getting the baby on a feeding and sleeping schedule, learning your baby’s signals on wanting to play, the baby is hungry, tired, etc. Talking to baby, reading, and singing to the baby helps the baby not only learn your voice but helps the baby develop and understand language.

Discuss how you might use this app to ensure you are providing developmentally appropriate learning activities for children from 2 months to 2 years.

I will use the app to ensure that my child is meeting his milestones and developing appropriately for his corrected age. This app will also help me with different activities I can use for my baby along with keeping track of appointments and things that I should bring up to doctor at next appointment.
