The topic of this paper is Examining the global labor shortage within the aviation industry.

Problem Statement: A major issue that has had a significant impact on the global aviation industry today is the global labor shortage. Many airlines have begun to cancel thousands of flights due to the global labor shortage that has spread across this industry. Although there tends to be a major pilot shortage within aerospace and aviation this global shortage does not just pertain to pilots, but it also impacts certain occupational fields such as mechanics, flight line employees, and engineers. This industry is also known for employing more than 2 million individuals which plays a significant role in our global economy (Price, 2022). The objective of this research paper is to examine the key contributing factors that have led to this global labor shortage and identify an effective method for addressing this issue. This paper will analyze the existing and projected impacts that this labor shortage will have on the aviation industry. This analysis should provide us with a better understanding of why this issue is considered a major issue that we must address.
