The time I had a bad boss was when I used to work at an arcade. My boss would be day drinking and didn’t care what his employees were doing and on certain occasions, he would sometimes ask some of his employees to drink with him. When the district manager was in town, and had to do inspections which required him to play some of the arcade games and see if they worked correctly. My boss had me talk to the district manager and take him around to see the arcade games and after his inspections, he would then tell me what needed to be fixed with the games.

The theory that I automatically thought of when I thought about my bad boss experience is Kolb’s Three Phase of Reflection the reason is that when he would not want to talk to the district manager I would deal with the district manager and the phase that this would fall under in the Three Phase of Reflection and Self is accommodating. The reason why my experience is considered accommodating is because I would do something that the general manager would so I was actually accommodating what my boss would expect me to do.
