Respond to Derrick Post

Officer Payne style of communication in this situation was basically direct and blaming, because he was direct of arresting the nurse and was using blaming in the point that if he didn’t get what he was sent to get that sometime will have to pay for hindering him. The officers actions were very unprofessional and his communication was not to have understanding but to express authority. He attempted “to find fault or to ascribe blame for a problem”; his actions created “an insurmountable barrier for communication”(Grubb, R. E., Hemby, K. V, 2018). I would have changed the way I approached the situation if I was the officer in which I would have used problem solving to come to an understanding and get a warrant delivered to the hospital so that I could have obtained the blood sample that I needed. I would never have threaten to arrest someone for doing their job.
