- Now that you’ve made it to the end of your capstone experience, taking stock of all you have learned as you stand on the precipice of your new/improved career, ask yourself what you think about additional education. Are there certificates that would make you more marketable or allow you to earn more income? Would a master’s degree be beneficial?
- What kind of duties do people in your field have at the bachelor’s level versus the master’s level. Talk about your thoughts on pursuing a master’s or even a doctorate. What advantages would a master’s degree give you? What concerns, if any, do you have about pursuing additional educational opportunities?
Please respond substantively to at least one other post (1–2 paragraphs each post). Choose to respond to those who have few or no responses, as well as interesting conversations you want to join. Remember to get in early in the week for your initial post and then come back a few other times during the week for the best experience.
In your response to your classmate, consider the following (choose one or more):
- If you are considering additional educational opportunities, respond to a classmate who is also considering them. What similarities and differences do you have?
- If someone has shared concerns about pursuing additional educational opportunities, do you have any advice or wisdom that might be helpful to share? If so, respond with your insights or experiences that might be helpful in addressing their particular concerns.
- If you feel you would not benefit from any additional education, respond to someone who feels they would benefit, discussing the differences between your career path and theirs.
