A. In this section, the author looks to ‘American skyscrapers’ as a solution to overcrowded cities where workplaces are interlaced between busy streets. Compare his vision of the usage of skyscrapers in city planning with the reality of cities full of skyscrapers that we see in our contemporary age. Does it match what Corbusier envisioned?
B. In this section, Corbusier introduces the importance of math and order for architects with respect to the plan. Discuss his reasoning for the importance of the plan not only in the layout of a structure, but with the layout of those structures to form a city.
